Dr. Elif Erdine is a distinguished architect and researcher who completed her PhD at the Architectural Association in their Design Programme from 2010-2015. Her studies primarily centered on generative processes in tower design, emphasizing the integration of tower subsystems. Since 2010, she has directed various AA Visiting School programmes, notable ones being AA Istanbul VS and AA Summer DLAB. These platforms allowed her to explore algorithmic design methods extensively and utilize large-scale digital fabrication tools. Erdine's multifaceted research spectrum includes the study of individual buildings within complex urban systems, the utilization of urban data as design catalysts, the principles of biomimicry, and the advancements in robotic design and fabrication. Her exemplary work has found its way to renowned conferences, including Design Studies, eCAADe, CAAD Futures, SimAUD, and ACADIA.

Dr. Milad Showkatbakhsh is a seasoned architect who holds a PhD from the Architectural Association. He has an M.Arch. from Pratt Institute, earning the Sidney Katz award for design excellence in 2015. Throughout his career, Milad has collaborated with various leading architecture and design firms spanning Asia, U.S.A, and Europe. He notably served as a design technology specialist at renowned entities like Contemporary Architecture Practice (CAP). His insightful research has been featured in prestigious peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. As an educator, Milad jointly heads the AA Istanbul visiting school and AA DLAB. Their research primarily focuses on synergizing algorithmic design methods and large-scale digital fabrication tools. Milad a co-founder of ‘Wallacei’, an AI-powered evolutionary and analytic engine with machine learning capabilities designed for Grasshopper 3D."
